Undyed wool carded batts
Breed-specific batts in their natural colors, ready to dye or spin exactly as the sheep grew them. If you like to compare how different wools behave, or you dye your own and want a clean base, start here.
All batts are 7 oz. Ecru options include Merino, NZ Perendale, Corriedale, Shetland, Jacob, Finnish, Norwegian, Cheviot and Dorset Horn, which range from fine and soft through springy and hard-wearing.
For natural color without a dye pot, look to Merino in fawn and brown, Perendale natural brown, Shetland moorit brown and natural grey, Finnish natural grey and brown, and Jacob in natural grey and black.
